Slime Mold Algorithm for Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch Combining with Renewable Energy Sources

The optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) is a complex, nonlinear, and constrained optimization problem. This paper presents the application of new metaheuristic technique called slime mold algorithm (SMA) for solving developed objective function ORPD combining with renewable energy sources. presented to minimize total operating cost system through minimization all costs, real loss, voltage deviation load buses, overload improve stability. formulation problem sources five different functions then converted coefficient single achieving various constraints. SMA has been tested proven on IEEE 30-bus IEEE-118 bus using scenarios. Five scenarios, without sources, are two-test simulation results compared some techniques from literature under same test data, control variables, operational superiority effectiveness comparison other obtained recently published techniques.
